Dog Day at The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens — Palm Desert, CA

About this event

Dog Day at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert, Sunday, March 14, 2027. On select Dog Days your dog can come along during regular Zoo hours, 8:00am–5:00pm PT, and explore the Zoo with you. Keep an eye on the animals as they check out the visiting dogs: you might catch a meerkat keeping watch, a mountain lion peering down from its perch, or bighorn sheep calmly taking it all in. Tickets: each dog needs a $35 Dog Day ticket, and every person in your group needs Zoo admission or a membership. Dog Days are limited capacity and have sold out before, so buy ahead. Dogs must be with an adult 18 or older. Rules: dogs need an up-to-date rabies vaccination and must stay on a non-retractable leash no longer than six feet at all times, even in a carrier or stroller. Stick to the main paths. Dogs can't go into the walk-through aviaries, indoor restaurants (outdoor patios are fine), the nature trails, the splash pad and a few other spots shown on the Zoo's Dog Day map. Not recommended for puppies, sick or injured dogs, or females in heat. Water bowls are set out around the Zoo. Daylight saving time starts that morning, so set your clocks forward.
