Dog Days of Downtown Macon: Dock Diving + Wiener Dog Race

Dog Days of Downtown at Macon's International Cherry Blossom Festival. Ultimate Air Dogs brings its dock diving competition to Second Street from 11am to 5pm (shows 11am-1pm and 3pm-5pm), hosting qualifying rounds. Your dog doesn't have to be a pro: dogs can take a try at diving for $20 per dog per day. At noon, dachshunds race down Cherry Street for the title of Fastest Wiener Dog in Middle Georgia (race runs 12-1pm; racer applications open in November). Bring a towel if your dog is going in the pool. Dock diving continues Sunday, March 21, noon to 5pm. The map pin is approximate: the festival lists the dock diving only as Second Street in downtown Macon. The festival's posted "No Pets" rule is part of its Carolyn Crayton Park policies (the gated park with paid admission), and the dock diving is on Second Street, not in the park. Please don't bring dogs into Carolyn Crayton Park.
