Dog Walking Night at Galaxy of Lights, Huntsville Botanical Garden

One of the few nights dogs are allowed at Galaxy of Lights. Walk the 1.75-mile lit route through Huntsville Botanical Garden with your leashed dog: more than 3 million lights, 190+ scenes, and two new areas this year (Winter's Edge and Crystal Glade). Most people take 60–90 minutes. Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2026 (Dog Walking Night) Time: first ticketed entry 4:30 p.m. CST. Last ticketed entry is 8:45 p.m. CST, entry gates close at 9:00 p.m., and the route closes at 10:00 p.m. Location: Huntsville Botanical Garden, 4747 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805. Walking Night guests enter through the Propst Guest Center. Parking is free. Tickets: every dog needs its own ticket ($5 in advance, $6 at the gate) on top of a Walking Night ticket for each person. Gate tickets are sold when there's room (gate price $25 adult / $16 child; advance tickets bought before 4:30 p.m. are cheaper). If a time slot sells out online, the gate can't sell more for that slot. The Garden is cashless. Dog rules from the Garden: leashed and under control the whole time. Think about whether your dog is OK with crowds, other dogs, bright lights, and holiday music. Dogs are only allowed on designated Dog Walking Nights (Nov 16–17, Nov 23–24, Dec 21–22). Food and drinks are sold along the route (hot cocoa, s'mores, food truck; adult drinks 21+).
