Salty Paws Pet & Kids Parade (KoSA Mardi Gras)

Panama City's Salty Paws Pet and Kids' Krewe Parade kicks off the Krewe of St. Andrews Mardi Gras weekend in Historic St. Andrews. The walking pet-and-kids parade steps off at 4:30pm on Beck Avenue (about three-quarters of a mile south to 11th Street), with a pet costume contest beforehand — Pet King and Queen and a royal pet court lead the combined parade behind the color guard and Grand Marshal. Registration and staging begin at 3pm at Drews Hall (15th Street and Beck Avenue); costume contest at 3:45pm, winners at 4pm, lineup ready by 4:15pm. Free to come watch. If you want to walk your dog in the parade, register through the Krewe ($15 minimum donation per pet; leash, ID tags, and current vaccinations required; wagons and buggies OK, no golf carts). Stay for the Market and Celebration on Bayview Avenue from 4 to 10pm with food, vendors, and live music — also free. It's the Krewe's 30th Anniversary Pearl Jubilee weekend.
