About

AMA Animal Rescue, also known as Angels for Mistreated Animals, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill shelter based in Brooklyn, New York. The organization rescues sick, injured, and abused pets domestically and abroad, operating out of a 1200sq ft space with clean enclosures and a fenced outdoor area. They facilitate adoptions, foster programs, and volunteer opportunities to help animals find forever homes.

What people say

Volunteers and supporters consistently praise AMA Animal Rescue for its dedication to rehabilitating abused animals and maintaining a clean, well-kept facility, though a specific controversy regarding fundraising transparency and the handling of severe medical cases has generated significant criticism online.
