About

The ASPCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals through investigations, rescue, and advocacy. The organization operates local services in New York City, including animal care, recovery, and adoption programs. They also provide veterinary services nationwide and run specific initiatives like the Cruelty Recovery Center.

What people say

The ASPCA in New York is widely praised for providing compassionate, professional veterinary care and affordable spay/neuter services, though some users report strict adoption screening and long wait times for mobile clinics. Internal employee reviews highlight significant concerns regarding workplace culture and diversity, which contrasts with the positive feedback from pet owners.
