About

Bexar County Animal Care is the county's primary animal services division operating under the Public Health Department, responsible for both animal sheltering and animal control operations. Established in 2013, the department serves residents of unincorporated Bexar County by addressing concerns involving loose, stray, and potentially dangerous animals. The facility promotes the live release of non-aggressive animals and provides humane care to animals in its custody.
