About

Animal Care Services is the City of San Antonio's municipal shelter providing adoption services, lost and found pet reunification, and animal control. The facility offers spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and microchipping to the community. They maintain a 90 percent live release rate and operate two campuses on State Highway 151.

What people say

Adopters frequently praise that pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before adoption, with some noting friendly staff. However, there are reports of delays in medical care for sick animals and instances of misleading communication regarding adoption availability.
