About

Dallas Pets Alive! is a mission-driven organization dedicated to eliminating the killing of companion animals in North Texas. Unlike traditional shelters, the organization does not maintain a physical shelter facility and relies entirely on foster families to house and care for homeless dogs and cats. They provide resources for adoption, fostering, pet support, and community education to keep pets in their homes.

What people say

Dallas Pets Alive is widely praised by adopters and partners for its professional, caring approach to saving at-risk animals and its high ethical standards. However, some current and former volunteers and fosters report inconsistent communication and occasional rudeness from staff, creating a mixed experience for those directly involved in operations.
