About

Give Me Shelter Cat Rescue is a volunteer-run organization founded in 2003 that rescues cats from abuse, abandonment, and neglect. The group operates primarily through a foster home network rather than a permanent physical shelter, holding monthly adoption events at partner locations like Petco. They utilize a multi-step adoption process involving video meet-and-greets to ensure cats are comfortable before meeting potential adopters in person.

What people say

The organization is widely praised for its passionate volunteers and dedication to saving senior, special needs, and FIV-positive cats from euthanasia. However, some adopters report significant delays in application responses and express confusion regarding the lack of a physical public facility.
