About

NYC Second Chance Rescue is a 501(c)(3) foster-based nonprofit organization that rescues and rehabilitates critically injured, neglected, and abused dogs and cats, as well as those at high risk of euthanasia. Since its inception in 2009, the organization has saved over 17,000 lives. They operate an adoption center in LIC and rely on a network of fosters and volunteers to care for animals.

What people say

Adopters praise the rescue for a seamless adoption process and staff who go above and beyond to find the right fit, while employees describe a busy, energetic environment with dedicated animal care. The organization is recognized for rescuing critically injured animals and providing community support, though one employee review noted a lack of communication regarding job applications.
