About

Rocket Dog Rescue is a volunteer-run organization in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to saving dogs from death at overcrowded shelters. They operate an Urban Sanctuary in Oakland and facilitate adoptions and fostering to find loving homes for dogs. The organization also relies on volunteers for transport, event staffing, and sanctuary care.

What people say

Rocket Dog Rescue is widely praised for its dedicated volunteer team, compassionate care for dogs from high-kill shelters, and strong post-adoption support. The organization is noted for its transparency in operations and reasonable adoption fees, though some sources indicate it relies heavily on donations and does not meet specific charity accountability disclosure standards.
