The League for Animal Welfare (LFAW), the animal shelter at 4193 Taylor Road in Batavia, OH, brings its shelter dogs to a different park on the first Sunday of each month so the community can take them out on a hike. November's First Sunday Shelter Hike is at Sharon Woods (Great Parks of Hamilton County), 11450 Lebanon Rd, Sharonville, on Sunday, November 1, 9:00-11:00 AM.

From LFAW: "First Sunday Hikes - We bring the dogs to you! Locations vary monthly and are spread throughout the city." LFAW lists it as a way to help if you have "no time for a hands on orientation."

Good to know:
- No dog of your own needed: LFAW brings the shelter dogs.
- Great Parks requires a valid Motor Vehicle Permit for vehicles entering its parks.
- The exact meeting spot inside Sharon Woods isn't posted. Check lfaw.org/events/community-events or call the shelter at 513-735-2299 (info@LFAW.org).
- Next one: Sunday, December 6, Clear Creek Park.
